PM Modi Becomes India’s Second-Longest-Serving Prime Minister; Leaders Lauds His Historic Milestone

PM Narendra Modi on Friday achieved a major political milestone by becoming the second-longest-serving PM in India’s history, surpassing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Leaders from across the political spectrum, especially within the BJP, hailed his leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to the nation.

Jitan Ram Manjhi Extends Warm Wishes

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi congratulated the Prime Minister and wished him a long and impactful tenure.

“We offer our best wishes and pray for his long life. Now that he has become the second-longest-serving Prime Minister of India, we hope he gets the opportunity to serve even longer—twice or thrice as long—and continue representing India globally,” he said.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha praised PM Modi for transforming the nation and bringing pride to every Indian.

“Heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister. He is creating history and breaking all records. Under his leadership, India has become proud and glorious. Every Indian is now respected across the world,” he stated.

Bihar Minister Ashok Chaudhary expressed gratitude and shared hopes for India’s economic future under PM Modi.

“I thank Prime Minister Modi and pray for his long life. I sincerely hope he continues working to make India the world’s third-largest economy,” he added.

BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain called it a moment of national pride.

“It is a matter of great pride that our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has become the second-longest-serving Prime Minister of India. People across the nation and around the world admire him. After Pandit Nehru, he now holds this historic position,” he said.

BJP MP Damodar Agrawal praised Modi’s leadership qualities.

“PM Modi has a unique talent and serves the nation with tireless dedication. That’s why the NDA won a clear majority under his leadership for the third consecutive time. He’s not just India’s Prime Minister—he’s the world’s most popular and influential leader,” Agrawal stated.

Minister Madan Sahni emphasised Prime Minister Modi’s contributions to national security and development.

“He has given a strong response to neighbouring countries attempting to spread terror—something no other Prime Minister has done. He is developing the nation, and the people are happy under his leadership. Prime Minister will continue to lead India for many more years,” Sahni said.
