Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a rally in Churu, Rajasthan, emphasized the accomplishments of his government over the past decade, likening them to an “appetizer” before the main course. He criticized the Congress, accusing them of disrespecting the army and fostering division, which he claimed defined the opposition party’s identity.
Modi asserted that India is now a “new India,” capable of striking within enemy territory, citing counterstrikes in Pakistan after terrorist attacks in India. He stated, “Today even the enemy knows that this is Modi, this is the new India.”
Highlighting his government’s achievements, Modi declared, “Whatever Modi has done so far, it was just an appetizer and the main course is still to come.” He criticized the Congress for the state of the country during its governance, attributing economic collapse and declining reputation to the party’s alleged mismanagement.
Reflecting on his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, Modi claimed that India rose to become the fifth-largest economy globally despite global concerns. He emphasized his proactive approach, contrasting it with potential inaction, and stated that “Modi’s guarantee” is now a topic of discussion in the country.
Modi touted the fulfillment of his promises, citing reduced cylinder prices for the poor and investigations into the Congress’ alleged paper leak industry. He commended his government for approving and initiating work on the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project, which he claimed was stalled under the former Congress government.
Accusing the Congress of being fearful of discussing the Ayodhya Ram temple issue, Modi alleged that the party issued an advisory to refrain from discussing it. He criticized the opposition INDIA bloc, accusing them of prioritizing corruption over the nation’s welfare.
Modi condemned the Congress for demanding proof of India’s airstrikes and surgical strikes, claiming that it insulted the army and divided the country. He accused the Congress of prioritizing appeasement over the nation’s interests and disrespecting faith, particularly in regards to the Ram temple issue.
Modi concluded by highlighting his government’s efforts for Muslim women through the law on ‘triple talaq’, claiming it has saved lives and improved family welfare. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and BJP candidate Devendra Jhajharia also addressed the rally.
