High-speed crash claims eight lives

The accident occurred on Friday evening near Junawai Police Station in Sambhal district.

A high-speed Bolero carrying members of a wedding procession lost control and rammed into the boundary wall of Janata Inter College in Junawai village.

The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, instantly killing five people, including the groom.

Police confirmed that all the victims were from Hargovindpur village and headed to Bilsi in Budaun district to attend a wedding.

Emergency services rushed the five critically injured victims to Aligarh for treatment.

Tragically, three of them—Ravi, Komal, and Madhu—succumbed to their injuries en route, raising the death toll to eight.

The remaining two injured are undergoing treatment at Aligarh Medical College.

Upon receiving the alert, Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi and Additional SP Anukriti Sharma immediately reached the accident site.

Rescue personnel used a JCB machine to cut through the mangled Bolero and extricate the trapped victims.

What began as a joyous wedding celebration ended in a devastating tragedy.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the driver was speeding the Bolero, which caused him to lose control and crash fatally.
