He said conditions in the sky remain unpredictable and praised the Indian Air Force for demonstrating its strength while giving citizens a sense of security.

India observes Indian Air Force Day every year on October 8 to mark the force’s establishment in 1932. The IAF began as an auxiliary air force of British India and has since evolved into a major global air power.

Amit Shah also extended greetings to the Indian Air Force on the occasion. He saluted the “warriors of our skies” and praised their valour, precision and striking capabilities.

Shah said the patriotism and professionalism of air warriors would continue to inspire generations. He also paid tribute to the IAF personnel who laid down their lives for the nation.

Salutations to the Warriors of Our Skies on the glorious occasion of Indian Air Force Day.

A legion of real-life bravehearts whose saga of invincible valour, laser-sharp precision and devastating striking capabilities is testified by the Earth and satellites in faraway space. Their patriotism and professionalism will continue to inspire generations long after the daydreams of India’s enemies cease to exist.

I bow to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
