Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday extended birthday greetings to Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, praising his long public career and contribution to the empowerment of disadvantaged sections and the MSME sector.
In a post on X, PM Modi said Manjhi had consistently worked to empower the poor and underprivileged during his years in public life.
The Prime Minister highlighted Manjhi’s role in giving momentum to the micro, small and medium enterprises sector, which he said has an important role in making India prosperous and self-reliant. He prayed for his long life and good health.

Shah, in his birthday message, praised Manjhi for his efforts to accelerate the country’s MSME sector and support entrepreneurs associated with it. He wished the Union Minister good health and a long life.

Jitan Ram Manjhi, a Member of Parliament from Gaya, serves as Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. He previously served as Bihar Chief Minister from May 20, 2014, to February 20, 2015, and is the founding president of the Hindustani Awam Morcha.
