LIVE UPDATES: PM Modi Addresses Rajya Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is replying to the discussion in the Rajya Sabha regarding the motion of thanks at the President’s address. PM replied to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, where he lashed out at Congress and Aam Aadmi Party over various issues.

Notably, Both houses of Parliament were adjourned till 2 pm after a ruckus over how the US sent Indian deportees back home. FM S Jaishankar is also expected to speak in Parliament today.

Moreover, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the upper house over controversy ignited from the mistreatment of Indian immigrants in the US as America has deported them to India.  S Jaishankar said that they had been deported according to the rules of America and the procedure has been in place since 2019.  Furthermore, Jaishankar also took the house in confidence that authority would engage with the US against the way Indian immigrants were deported.

Notably, Indians were handcuffed and their legs were chained during the 40 hours of the journey before the US plane reached Amritsar.
