‘People’s Trust Is My Greatest Strength’: PM Modi Reflects On 25 Years Of Service

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the trust of the people and the hard work of workers have always been his greatest strength, adding that every citizen has the greatest right over him.

PM Modi received a warm welcome at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha, where people showered flowers, waved BJP flags and raised slogans including ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Modi ji ka swagat hai’.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi recalled taking the oath as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, saying he had never imagined reaching the milestone of 25 years as head of government. He described the milestone as evidence of the continued blessings and trust of the people.

The Prime Minister thanked the BJP, NDA and political colleagues for their faith in democracy. He expressed gratitude to citizens for choosing him to serve for 25 consecutive years through Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, while paying tribute to India’s democracy and Constitution.

PM Modi thanked participants of the Seva Jyoti Yatra.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi visited Shri Vinayak Mandir in Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha for the happiness, prosperity and good health of people across the country.

PM Modi said the people’s trust and workers’ efforts were his greatest strength, adding that the country’s support placed a greater responsibility on him.

PM Modi completed 25 years as head of government on October 7, beginning as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 before becoming Prime Minister in 2014. He has since completed three terms. His tenure has seen India strengthen global ties and its role in the Global South.
