Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss pressing and ongoing issues in the state.
Pawan Kalyan described the interaction as meaningful and productive. He shared details of the meeting through a social media post after visiting Amit Shah at his residence.
He said both leaders held detailed deliberations on governance-related challenges in Andhra Pradesh.
They also reviewed several matters of public welfare and administrative importance affecting the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister thanked Amit Shah for facilitating an opportunity for the Kakinada district administration.
He said the Home Minister allowed officials to present the Uppada sea protection wall proposal before the Technical Advisory Committee of the National Disaster Management Authority.
Pawan Kalyan stressed that the Uppada project remains crucial for protecting the coastline and safeguarding local communities from erosion and natural disasters.
During his New Delhi visit, Pawan Kalyan also met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Their discussions focused on strengthening railway infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.
He said the meeting covered the development of Pithapuram Railway Station, the construction of a Road Over Bridge, and progress on major rail projects in the state.
Pawan Kalyan highlighted Pithapuram’s importance as a major spiritual centre, drawing devotees from across India.
He urged authorities to develop it as a model railway station. He proposed its inclusion under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Pawan Kalyanalso urged the Railway Minister to take up the Road Over Bridge project under the PM Gati Shakti programme to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion.
The Deputy Chief Minister said Ashwini Vaishnaw received him warmly. He noted that discussions took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere.
The Railway Minister assured him that the proposals would receive due consideration.
Pawan Kalyan credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing visionary leadership that continues to drive infrastructure expansion.
He said Indian Railways is progressing with a strong development-oriented approach under PM Modi’s guidance.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed railway projects at the Secretariat in Amaravati. He assessed rail connectivity linking ports and neighbouring states.
Senior officials from South Central Railway, East Coast Railway, and South Coast Railway attended the review meeting.
