Paramilitary Forces Accompany ED As The Agency Conducts Search Operation In Sandeshkhali Case

Central investigation agency ED again conducted search operation in Sandeshkhali area of West Bengal on Wednesday. Today a large number of paramilitary forces are present along with the ED team.

In a new case registered by the investigating agency, a search operation is being conducted against Shahjahan Sheikh today.

Last few days, an FIR was registered in Najat police station of Sandeshkhali area in a case related to illegal land grabbing and money laundering. After taking over the same case by ED, search operation is being conducted today.

On March 5, there was a deadly attack on ED officials and paramilitary forces by supporters of Shahjahan Sheikh on the team that had come to raid Sandeshkhali area. Accused Shahjahan Sheikh is currently in CBI custody. Today on March 14, he will be produced again by the CBI in the special CBI court in Kolkata.
