Pallavi Patel Claims Support of Swami Prasad Maurya in Alliance with AIMIM for Social Justice Struggle

Lucknow: Apna Dal’s leader Pallavi Patel, who parted ways with the INDIA bloc to ally with AIMIM, claimed on Monday that she has the blessings of Swami Prasad Maurya and that he will join them in the struggle for social justice. Maurya, who founded the Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party (RSSP) after leaving the Samajwadi Party, declined to comment on joining the new coalition.

Patel stated that their PDM Nyay Morcha, representing Picchda, Dalit, and Muslim communities, offers an alternative to those opposed to the government and large sections of the opposition that consistently ignore public opinion. “We were an integral part of the INDIA bloc, but you saw how we were deceived during the intense election activities nationwide,” she said.

“As a political party, we must chart our own course, which is why we forged this alliance,” she explained. Patel, the MLA from Sirathu, added, “We deeply analyzed the sentiments of people who believe that both the government and the majority of the opposition are silent on their issues or are retracting. So, we aimed to provide the people of this state with an alternative.”

When asked about Maurya’s potential joining of their PDM Nyay Morcha, she replied, “We have welcomed everyone to the Morcha, and as for Swami Prasad Maurya ji, he is a senior leader who has long fought for social justice. How can anyone sideline him? He stands with us. His blessings are with us, and together, we will fight vigorously. We welcome all organizations, big and small, to support and strengthen our PDM Morcha,” she continued.

Maurya, when questioned about joining the newly formed coalition, stated that he was not in Lucknow. “I have not discussed this with anyone, and it would be inappropriate to do so without prior discussion. Our focus now is to uphold the Constitution, oust the BJP, restore democracy, and save the country, and I am committed to building the INDIA bloc. To protect the Constitution and democracy, we urge all like-minded individuals to unite and remove the BJP from power.”
