Opposition Silent On Atrocities Against Hindus In Bangladesh: CM Yogi Adityanath At Magh Mela

Addressing a large gathering at the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath alleged that those who claim to champion secularism have remained conspicuously silent on atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh.

He remarked that no candlelight marches or public protests were being organised in response to the situation, adding that such silence should serve as a warning to society. According to CM Adityanath, voices that are otherwise vocal on secular issues appear muted when it comes to the suffering of Hindu minorities.

Speaking at the 726th birth anniversary celebrations of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Maharaj, CM Adityanath emphasised the unifying role of India’s saintly tradition.

He stated that when saints and spiritual leaders come together on a single platform and issue a collective call, it creates transformative outcomes for society.

As an example, he cited the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, describing it as the result of sustained penance, unity, and spiritual resolve.

Praise for Prime Minister Modi

Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contribution, the Chief Minister said that while several prime ministers have led the country since Independence, Modi was the one who gave concrete shape to the vision of enshrining Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

He noted that Modi is the first Prime Minister to have visited the Ram Temple and participated in every major milestone, from the foundation-laying ceremony to the hoisting of the Dharma Dhwaj.

Reflecting on his experience at the Triveni Sangam, CM Adityanath spoke about the improved cleanliness of the Ganga. He described his holy dip as a divine experience and questioned whether such clean waters were imaginable eight to ten years ago.

Crediting the Namami Gange project, he said the transformation of the river reflects sincere devotion to Mother Ganga and Lord Ram. He added that devotees bathing at the Sangam are, in effect, blessing Prime Minister Modi for this achievement.

Without naming specific opposition leaders, CM Adityanath cautioned against forces that seek to divide society. He alleged that when such leaders were in power, their focus remained limited to family interests rather than national welfare.

According to him, when out of power, they raise disruptive slogans that create identity crises, chaos, attacks on Sanatan Dharma, and social unrest.

He urged people to remain vigilant and to prevent such conditions from ever returning.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister reiterated the need for unity, cultural confidence, and spiritual grounding, asserting that India’s strength lies in its collective faith, traditions, and social harmony.
