Only One Slogan In Rajasthan — “Behen, Betiyon Par Atyachar, Nahin Sahega Rajasthan” Prime Minister Leads BJP Counterattack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi increased the BJP’s counteroffensive on Thursday, concentrating on crimes against women in states where the opposition is in power in response to a no-confidence motion in Parliament regarding the situation in Manipur. Speaking at a rally in Sikar, he claimed that the election-bound state has “just one slogan this time”: “Nahi Sahega Rajasthan… Atrocities against sisters and daughters will not be tolerated in Rajasthan.

Modi criticised the Congress-led administration, saying: “Enough is enough. The bold and the courageous live in Rajasthan. These are the folks who roar, not the Rajasthanis. Therefore, there is just one shout throughout the entire state, and each Rajasthani has only one goal and one motto: “Behen, betiyon par atyachar, nahin sahega Rajasthan.”

PM then employed the same slogan when it came to crimes against Dalits, debt-ridden farmers, paper leaks and corruption in the state.

Modi brought up the “red diary” as well, which is thought to hold evidence against Ashok Gehlot, Congress chief minister. The Congress refers to a “shop of loot in a market of lies” (loot ki dukaan, jhooth ka bazaar). The crimson diary is the most recent creation of this loot ki dukaan, he added.

Rajendra Singh Gudha claims to have this “red diary” that details “misdeeds” against CM. Gehlot fired Rajendra Singh Gudha as a minister shortly after he spoke in the Assembly on atrocities committed against women in the state. Gudha claims that during Income Tax raids in 2020 amid a rebellion against the Gehlot regime, he took it from the home of Gehlot’s assistant Dharmendra Rathore on his instructions.

Even the top members of Congress are unable to speak when the red diary is brought up, according to Modi. The entire Congress will receive a “dibba gol” (zero) in these elections, regardless of the locks these individuals place on their lips.

The leak of exam papers for various government jobs, a subject on which the Gehlot administration is weak, was another target of the PM’s criticism. Recently, the Congress government introduced a bill with provisions for life terms for anybody found guilty of paper leaks.

Modi continued by discussing the alliance of the opposition parties under the moniker INDIA, noting that in the past, groups such as the Students Islamic Movement of India and the East India Company had used the term to harm the country.

The PM said that in its nine years in office, BJP government at the centre had provided Rajasthan more than the UPA government before it did in its ten. “In 10 years under a Congress-led government at the Centre, Rajasthan received its fair share of taxes totaling Rs 1 lakh crore. But the BJP government has provided Rajasthan more than Rs 4 lakh crore in the previous nine years, the PM remarked.

In a similar vein, he said that during the ten years of the UPA, the state received roughly Rs 50,000 crore in handouts from the federal government, as opposed to nearly Rs 1.5 lakh crore under the current BJP administration.

Modi continued, using the Jal Jeevan Mission as an example, in which new water connections have been provided to nearly 9 crore homes, as evidence that “ever since a Congress government was formed here, only obstacles have been created in the path to development.” He claimed that whereas several states have finished all of their work, the Congress leadership in Rajasthan “wants to keep people thirsty”.

Gehlot responded to Modi in reference to an occasion involving his government’s petrol cylinder subsidy programme. “I heard the prime minister’s speech about a red diary in Sikar. The PM’s position is one of honour. They have the CBI, ED, and IT, which they are abusing throughout the entire nation. He questioned the BJP as to why it was “panicking,” and stated, “Can they not acquire information on this diary? He suggested that the PM bring up the cost of tomatoes.

“The PM is discussing the red diary… This is a made-up journal since there is no diary and politics are being made out of it. Gehlot added
