Om Birla’s Work For Kota’s Progress Is For Everyone To See, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla while addressing the gathering during the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new airport in Kota, Rajasthan. He acknowledged Birla’s consistent efforts in advancing development projects in the region.

During his address, the Prime Minister said Om Birla has played an important role in highlighting the infrastructure needs of Kota and the surrounding areas. He noted that the Lok Sabha Speaker has persistently advocated improved connectivity and facilities for the city.

Sharing a message on the social media platform X, PM Modi also appreciated Birla’s contribution to the development of Kota.

“I would like to appreciate the efforts of Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla Ji for working towards developing an airport in Kota. His work for Kota’s progress is for everyone to see,” the Prime Minister wrote.

He further praised Birla’s leadership in Parliament, stating that the Speaker treats Members of Parliament with respect and conducts proceedings with balance.

“Shri Om Birla Ji is as outstanding a Member of Parliament as he is an excellent Speaker of the Lok Sabha. It is perhaps the influence of coming from a city known for education that he conducts the House so wonderfully, taking everyone along. Rising above party lines, he treats all Members of Parliament with great respect,” PM Modi said in the post.

According to PM Modi, Birla’s dedication has helped accelerate several development initiatives in the region.

The Prime Minister remarked that leaders who remain closely connected to their constituencies contribute significantly to regional progress. He credited Birla for maintaining continuous dialogue with the government and ensuring that development proposals receive attention.

PM Modi added that such a collaborative approach has helped turn several proposals into reality.

During his address, PM Modi said the upcoming airport would strengthen connectivity and promote economic expansion in Kota. He emphasised that the project would support tourism, commerce and educational travel in the city.

Kota attracts thousands of students every year due to its reputation as a major educational hub.

The Prime Minister explained that improved air connectivity would reduce travel challenges for residents, businesses and visitors. He noted that modern infrastructure plays a crucial role in driving economic opportunities in emerging cities.

PM Modi once again commended Birla’s commitment to the people of Kota. He said the leader’s active involvement has ensured that the region continues to receive development-focused attention.

According to him, such leadership strengthens the partnership between local representatives and the central government.

The foundation ceremony for the Kota airport marked a new infrastructure initiative. It also recognised Om Birla’s sustained efforts to promote development in the region.
