Odisha Train Tragedy: Heartbreaking Video Reveals Coromandel Express's Final Moments Before Fatal Crash
Odisha Train Tragedy which is one of the worst railway accidents in recent memory, the collision involving the Chennai-bound Coromandel Express, the SMVT Bengaluru-Howrah Express , and a cargo train last week near Balasore in Odisha left 275 people dead and over 1,000 injured.
Survivors of the disaster have released several statements and images, with the majority of them describing the terrifying ordeal they went through. A team of around 2,000 people had to work quickly to cut through tonnes of steel and locate the hundreds of people trapped inside the rubble.
Recently, a new video surfaced that captures the precise moment the Coromandel Express crashed. However, Bharat Express has not been able to confirm the legitimacy of the footage.
The video captures passengers and a cleaning staff member in the carriage of the Coromandal Express, appearing relaxed while a staff member wipes the floor. Suddenly, a violent shock jolts the train, causing the film to blur and cries to be heard. The shrieks continue after the video goes dark for a short while, but it ends suddenly. According to sources, a passenger apparently captured the video.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited the accident site to assess the situation. In the hospitals, the leaders also encountered the injured. As part of its inquiry, the Central Bureau of inquiry has previously examined the Bahanaga train station’s panel room, record room, and relay room and spoken with workers who were present there.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has commenced its investigation into the Odisha Train Tragedy, prompted by an initial FIR filed by the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Balasore police station. The CBI’s involvement signifies the seriousness of the incident, as they delve into the case to uncover the truth. Through a meticulous examination of evidence and witness statements, the agency aims to determine the causes behind the tragic crash.
