Noida Police Nabs Notorious Criminal In Daring Gunfight, Solves High-Profile Murder Case

On January 23, 2025, Sector 39 police conducted a check on Dadri Road at Shashi Chowk. During the check, they spotted a man approaching on a Splendor motorcycle without a number plate.

When the police signaled him to stop, he ignored the signal and fled. Police pursued him, and as he found himself cornered in the Sector 42 forest area, the suspect fired at the officers. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, one suspect was injured. He was later identified as Sikandar, alias Satender, son of Hukam Chand, a resident of Baragawan village, Piswa, district Sitapur, currently residing in Prehladpur, near the Valmiki Temple, Delhi.

Police recovered a .315-bore pistol with one live cartridge one spent cartridge and a stolen motorcycle without a number plate. Upon further investigation, it was found that Sikandar was wanted in a case registered at Indirapuram Police Station under Section 303(2) BNS. Sikandar is a notorious criminal with several cases against him.

He is also a wanted criminal in a 2024 murder case. On January 19, 2024, Sikandar, along with his accomplices Kuldeep (alias Kallu) and Abdul Qadir, shot and killed Suraj Man, son of Ved Prakash, in front of the Anytime Fitness Gym in Sector 104, Haji Pur. The murder was allegedly linked to an ongoing rivalry between gangsters Kapil Man (alias Kallu) and Pravesh Man, both of whom are imprisoned under the MCOCA in separate Delhi jails.

Sikandar was found to have been involved in the murder, having acted as a shooter for Kapil Man, who allegedly hired them to kill Suraj Man as part of a gang dispute.

The accused has a criminal history, with several registered cases:

  1. Case No. 182/24 under Sections 336, 427, 34 of IPC and Arms Act at Moti Nagar Police Station, Delhi
  2. Case No. 302/24 under Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act at Shahbad Dairy Police Station, Delhi
  3. Case No. 31/24 under Sections 302, 427, 34, and 120B of IPC at Sector 39 Police Station, Noida.

The police are continuing their investigation and gathering more details regarding his criminal activities.
