Noida Dussehra 2026: Traffic Diversions From 2 PM, 2,200 Police Personnel Deployed

Noida will hold Vijayadashami celebrations on Tuesday, with Ravan effigies set to be burnt at 35 locations and Goddess Durga idols immersed at around 200 sites.

Police and local authorities have strengthened security, firefighting and traffic arrangements to manage crowds and ensure public safety.

Around 2,200 police personnel, including 300 women officers, will be deployed to maintain law and order at celebration venues.

The Fire Department has placed 26 fire tenders and around 250 firefighting personnel on standby.

Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, marks the victory of good over evil and is celebrated with Ravan Dahan and religious ceremonies across the country.

The Noida Traffic Police will introduce special traffic diversions from 02:00 PM until late evening to manage congestion around major celebration venues.

Master Plan Road-1, particularly the stretch connecting Rajnigandha with Sectors 12, 22 and 56, is expected to experience heavy traffic.

Authorities will, however, regulate traffic around Noida Stadium in Sector 21 and introduce diversions in Sector 62 when required. Restrictions may remain in place until crowds disperse after Ravan Dahan.

DCP (Traffic) Syed Ali Abbas said special arrangements had been made for public convenience. Commuters can call 9971009001 for traffic updates and assistance.

Police have advised motorists to check routes before travelling, allow extra time, use designated parking areas and avoid unnecessary journeys near event venues.

Vehicles parked illegally may be towed, and violators may face action.

Residents have been urged to celebrate peacefully, follow traffic rules, avoid spreading rumours and cooperate with police personnel.

Authorities said the arrangements aim to ensure safe festivities and smoother traffic movement across Noida.
