‘No One Has Shaken PM Modi Yet’: Swami Avimukteshwaranand

Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati spoke to IANS, stating, “It’s not easy to challenge PM Modi. Many have tried, but none have succeeded.”

He emphasised PM Modi’s resilience and firm position in Indian politics, with no challenger managing to displace him.

When asked about Rahul Gandhi’s efforts to counter PM Modi, Swami Avimukteshwaranand acknowledged Gandhi’s attempts but highlighted their futility.

He stated, “People are trying, but PM Modi remains unshaken. He holds his ground firmly.”

PM Modi’s party control & global influence

On PM Modi’s influence, the Swami said, “PM Modi is the most powerful figure in his party. He makes the rules, and everyone follows.”

He also noted that despite global politics, PM Modi’s authority within his party is unmatched.

Commenting on Arvind Kejriwal’s call for a Nobel Prize, the Shankaracharya praised his transparency.

“At least Kejriwal openly expressed his opinion, which takes courage,” he said.

He further added that Nobel nominations require effort and honesty, a trait Kejriwal displayed by making his request public.

Responding to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on Dhirendra Shastri, the Swami pointed out that money exchanges occur in all political parties.

“Every party accepts donations, but there’s no audit or public knowledge of the sources,” he observed.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand contrasted this with Baba Bageshwar, who openly disclosed his donations, labelling it a form of honesty.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand called religious conversion a serious issue. He insisted that any conversions through deception should be addressed strictly.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand added, “Conversions should be registered, and authorities should be notified. Both sides must present their cases through experts to avoid misleading people.”

On the recent shooting incident at comedian Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada, the Swami linked it to politics.

He advised artists to focus solely on their craft and avoid political entanglements.

“A true artist should stay away from politics,” he stressed, emphasising the risks of publicity through political affiliations.
