A supplementary charge sheet has been filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against a Maoist cadre of the CPI for the kidnapping and killing of an individual in Bihar in 2018. According to an official release, Gora Yadav, also known as Anil Yadav, of Aurangabad, Bihar, has been charged under several sections of the IPC, the Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Naresh Singh Bhokta.
Yadav was allegedly directly involved in the killing and was taken into custody by the NIA on August 4, 2023. He was discovered to be a despised Maoist cadre, and 18 cases had been filed against him in different police stations in the Bihar districts of Gaya and Aurangabad.

On orders from the top leadership of the outlawed CPI (Maoist), Bhokta was kidnapped by cadres. The release stated that he was brought to a place known as “Jan adalat” in the Aurangabad area, where a kangaroo court headed by a Naval Bhuiya, sub-zonal commander of the CPI (Maoist), ordered his execution.
On November 2, 2018, Bhokta was killed in the vicinity of the village Badhai Bigha.

One accused was listed by the NIA in its initial charge sheet, which was submitted on February 25, 2023. In June 2023, charges were then brought against three additional individuals. Another supplemental charge sheet, filed in September 2023, listed four more accused, according to the release.
