NIA Files Supplementary Charge Sheet Against Maoist Cadre In Abduction-Murder Case In Bihar

A supplementary charge sheet has been filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against a Maoist cadre of the CPI for the kidnapping and killing of an individual in Bihar in 2018. According to an official release, Gora Yadav, also known as Anil Yadav, of Aurangabad, Bihar, has been charged under several sections of the IPC, the Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Naresh Singh Bhokta.

Yadav was allegedly directly involved in the killing and was taken into custody by the NIA on August 4, 2023. He was discovered to be a despised Maoist cadre, and 18 cases had been filed against him in different police stations in the Bihar districts of Gaya and Aurangabad.

The release stated that he was brought to a place known as “Jan adalat” in the Aurangabad area, where a kangaroo court headed by a Naval Bhuiya, sub-zonal commander of the CPI (Maoist), ordered his execution.

On November 2, 2018, Bhokta was killed in the vicinity of the village Badhai Bigha.
