National Fertilisers Limited (NFL) has taken a significant step to strengthen school infrastructure under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
The company will distribute water coolers fitted with RO purifiers to municipal schools in Delhi’s Shahdara North Zone.
NFL communicated this development to the Additional Director of the Education Department at the Municipal Corporation of Delhi headquarters.
The initiative follows a request from the civic body dated June 9, 2025, seeking support for drinking water facilities in government schools.
Under the CSR programme, NFL placed a purchase order for 50 water coolers equipped with RO purification systems.
These units will serve 28 schools in the Shahdara North Zone, as identified by the Education Department. The company expects delivery by the first or second week of February 2026.
National Fertilisers Limited confirmed that the initiative aims to improve access to safe and clean drinking water for students.
The project supports health, hygiene, and well-being in educational institutions.
It also aligns with the company’s broader commitment to community development and child welfare.
The company has requested the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to share the complete addresses of each school listed for installation.
Timely submission of accurate location details will ensure smooth delivery and deployment of the equipment.
National Fertilisers Limited has also urged the civic authorities to complete essential infrastructure at school premises before delivery.
Schools must ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply and functional water pipeline connections near the installation points.
These preparations will enable immediate commissioning of the water coolers upon arrival.
Officials stated that coordination between NFL and the Education Department will remain critical for timely execution.
The company aims to avoid delays and ensure efficient installation across all identified locations.
As a Navratna public sector undertaking, NFL continues to prioritise impactful CSR initiatives.
The water cooler project reflects its focus on sustainable development and public health.
The initiative also reinforces the role of public sector enterprises in supporting urban education systems.
National Fertilisers Limited reiterated its commitment to partnering with government institutions to address essential community needs.
The Shahdara school project marks another milestone in the company’s ongoing CSR journey.
