Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received another threat, the latest in a series of warnings allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
A menacing message reached the Mumbai Traffic Control room on Thursday night, just days after a similar threat on 5 November, raising concerns for the actor’s safety.
The message warned not only Salman Khan but also mentioned targeting a songwriter who had written a track referencing Lawrence Bishnoi.
Additionally, the message provocatively challenged Salman Khan to attempt to protect the writer.
The message stated, “The songwriter’s condition will be so bad that he won’t be able to write songs by his own name. If Salman Khan has the courage then he should save him.”
Police have begun tracking the phone number used to issue the threat and are working to identify the source.
Earlier this week, another threat reportedly from the Bishnoi gang alerted Mumbai Police, demanding that Khan either apologize or pay Rs 5 crore for his safety.
Following this, authorities apprehended a man in Karnataka and transferred him to Maharashtra Police custody on Wednesday.
During questioning, the individual allegedly stated he had no regret about his actions and claimed loyalty to the Bishnoi community, calling Lawrence Bishnoi his idol.
The arrested culprit said, “Mujhe koi gham nahi, main Bishnoi samaaj ke liye jail jaa raha hun.”
The suspect also revealed he planned to use the extorted money to build a temple dedicated to the Bishnoi community, citing admiration for Bishnoi’s influence and efforts.
The accused further asserted, “Salman Khan never apologized for what he did – be it the hit and run case or killing the blackbuck. Salman Khan and Baba Siddiqui are linked to big gangs and no one did anything on that.”
“Whatever Lawrence Bishnoi is doing is correct, I have no sadness in going to jail. I am going to jail for the Bishnoi community,” he added.
