Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed a new addition to his residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg – a newborn calf named ‘Deepjyoti’.
In a recent social media update, PM Modi shared the news with his followers, emphasizing the significance of this event in light of traditional beliefs.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Our scriptures say – Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada:. There has been an auspicious arrival of a new member in the Prime Minister Housing Family on Lok Kalyan Marg.”
The Prime Minister revealed that the calf, named ‘Deepjyoti’ because of a light-shaped mark on her forehead, was born to the family’s beloved cow.
PM Modi shared a heartwarming video showing him engaging with the calf.
In the footage, PM Modi performs a small puja, cuddles Deepjyoti, and takes her for a stroll in the lush gardens of his residence.
The video has quickly captured the attention of social media users, amassing over 15,000 likes and about 5,000 retweets within just 30 minutes of posting.
The arrival of Deepjyoti comes just before the Navratri festival, a period of great significance for PM Modi, who is a devout follower of Maa Durga.
During Navratri, he observes a rigorous fasting regimen, consuming only warm water throughout the nine-day period.
Amid these personal celebrations, PM Modi is preparing for a busy schedule this Saturday, with plans to address election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda and Haryana’s Kurukshetra.
