Shriniket Ravi bagged All India Rank 7 in NEET-UG as results were declared on Tuesday. He was always passionate about his interests in life and wanted to pick his career in the same alignment. His parents were actually engineers but they are finally working the banking sector. Shriniket looked at his parents’ journey and he made a clear goal to work towards the field of his interest.
Shriniket’s father expressed his pride that his son has brought about. He said, “Both of us have an engineering background, but we eventually pursued careers in banking. Shriniket’s mother, Lakshmi Gopalan, is an alumna of IIT Madras. It’s interesting that when our children were choosing their career paths, they recognised that we had moved away from engineering and wanted to make their own choices based on their inclinations. We take great pride in their accomplishments.”
Not only Shriniket, his sister has chosen the career paths of her dream. She has recently completed her Law degree from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.
Shriniket expressed that he was always confident about him scoring well in the entrance exam. He said, “I had anticipated a good score, but this rank has definitely added to my happiness.”
Unlike most of the NEET aspirants, Shriniket did not have any specific schedule for the studies. From two years of his NEET preparation, he spent one year while studying online. He said, “I didn’t follow a strict study routine. Everyone has their own approach to studying. The most important thing is to believe in yourself.”
Talking about his inspiration, Shriniket said that “I always liked Biology in science. Witnessing my father’s uncle working as a doctor has been truly inspiring.” There is a more promising reason for the topper to actually choose the field. While he was in class 9, Covid-19 pandemic was on it peak. Covid-19 brought about a lot of appreciation to the doctors’ profession. Hence, he was influenced by the same.
