The Prime Minister had recently recalled Dhyan Chand’s role in India’s historic hockey tour of New Zealand during his virtual interaction with young people at the Khelo India Dialogue.
PM Modi noted that Dhyan Chand joined the Indian team during its New Zealand tour a century ago. He described the historic journey as an important chapter in the long sporting relationship between India and New Zealand.
The Prime Minister remembered the hockey great during his recent visit to New Zealand and highlighted his contribution to strengthening sporting links between the two nations.
