Mahaparinirvan Diwas

Mahaparinirvan Diwas, observed annually on 6 December, commemorates the death anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, who passed away in 1956.

As a key member of the committee that drafted the Indian Constitution, Dr. Ambedkar’s work laid the foundation for modern India. His advocacy for equality and justice earned him posthumous recognition with the Bharat Ratna in 1990.

The day serves as a solemn reminder to uphold the ideals enshrined in the Constitution, reflecting Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of an inclusive and egalitarian society.
