Nation Above Faith Emphasised At Lucknow Seminar On Unity & National Responsibility

A national seminar promoting unity, civic duty, and national development took place on Tuesday in Lucknow. The event, titled ‘One Community, One Nation – Hindustan,’ was held at Eram Girls Degree College.

Political leaders, academicians, and community representatives gathered to discuss social harmony and shared responsibility in building a developed India.

RSS leader Dr Indresh Kumar and Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj, Danish Ansari, addressed the seminar.
Several eminent personalities joined them on the dais.

The speakers included Prof Dr Shahid Akhter, Officiating Chairman of the NCMEI, Ambedkar University Vice-Chancellor Raj Kumar Mittal, Jamia Hamdard Registrar Colonel Tahir Mustafa, Muslim Rashtriya Manch leader Syed Raza Rizvi, Dr Shalini Ali, and Eram Group Managing Director Khwaja Faiz.

A large audience of academicians, students, and social workers attended the programme.

Unity Anchors Development

Addressing the gathering, Dr Indresh Kumar defined the guiding national principle as ‘Nation first, religion last’. He urged citizens to place love for the motherland above all divisions.

He warned that hatred, extremism, and social fragmentation weaken both society and the nation.

Dr Indresh Kumar called on all communities to respect the Constitution and strengthen brotherhood.

Dr Kumar also raised concerns over undocumented migrants from Bangladesh. He said their presence impacts employment opportunities for Indian Muslims.

He suggested that Indian Muslims performing Haj could raise the issue with Muslim-majority nations.

Dr Kumar proposed that Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member countries share responsibility for these migrants.

Minister Danish Ansari described the seminar as timely and necessary. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India focuses on inclusive and collective progress.

Ansari stressed that national development depends on every citizen fulfilling their duty. He compared the role of a village teacher with that of a soldier guarding the border.

Professor Shahid Akhter highlighted unity in diversity as India’s greatest strength. He urged dialogue and engagement to counter divisive ideologies.

Speakers also emphasised education, values, and responsible social media use. They called on the youth to reject misinformation and promote harmony.

The seminar concluded with a unified call to translate the vision of ‘One India, Great India’ into action.
