Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 38,800 crore in Mumbai. PM Modi will also flag off two metro lines, Mumbai Metro Rail Lines 2A will run between Andheri and West Dahisar and Line 7 will run between Andheri East to Dahisar.
Listing the projects, Prime Minister will inaugurate in Mumbai today:
PM will inaugurate Rs 12,600 crore Mumbai Metro Rail Lines 2A and 7.
Also, he will launch National Common Mobility Card.
PM will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Bhandup Multi-Specialty Hospital, Siddharth Nagar Hospital and Oshiwara Maternity Home.
Bhoomipujan will be done for the plan to cement about 400 km of roads in Mumbai.
Also, PM will lay the foundation stone worth Rs 1,800 crore for CSMT redevelopment.
Seven STP projects will also be inaugurated.
PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundations of several development projects in Mumbai at 5 pm.
At 6:30 pm, the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate two lines of Mumbai Metro, 2A and 7. Moreover, PM is likely to travel on the metro.
On his arrival, PM will address a meeting at the MMRDA ground in BKC. Around 1 lakh people are expected to reach the venue.

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, entry of heavy vehicles on the western expressway and all roads in the western suburbs are banned from 12 noon to 9 Pm today. Despite the regulation, ambulances, school buses and other buses are excluded from this.
Traffic will be regulated and controlled from MMRDA Junction to MTML Junction on BKC Road from 4.30 PM to 6.30 PM on Thursday. At 6:30 pm, he will inaugurate two lines of the Mumbai Metro, 2A and 7, and will also travel on the metro.
Keeping security tight, no drones, paragliders etc are not allowed during PM’s visit. In a tweet, news agency ANI wrote, “In view of PM’s Mumbai visit, no drone, paragliders, remote control microlight aircraft flying activities allowed in the jurisdiction of BKC PS, Andheri PS, Meghwadi PS, Jogeshwari Police Station on Jan 19. Order will remain in force from 12:01 am to 11 pm of 19th Jan: Mumbai Police.”
Moreover, metro service will not be available due to operational and administrative reasons from 05:45 Pm to 07:30 Pm.
