Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana: Enthusiasm Among Citizens As More Than One Crore Sisters Sign Up For This Scheme

A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the women towards the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, which was launched by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on March 5, 2023. The main purpose of this scheme is the economic and social empowerment of women in the state. From the launch date of the scheme until April 18, more than one crore of women have registered themselves.

About Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana

In the scheme, women from 23 to 60 years of age who are not income taxpayers, have less than 5 acres of land in the family and do not have a four-wheel vehicle in the house have been considered eligible for the scheme. The process of registering all these sisters will continue until April 30.
So far, 1 crore, 52 thousand, and 223 women have registered themselves under the scheme in the registration process, which started on March 25. This includes 10 lakhs, 75 thousand, and 918 women in Bhopal division; 5 lakhs, 80 thousand, and 58 women in Chambal; 9 lakhs, 9 thousand, and 22 women in Gwalior; 4 lakhs, 36 thousand, and 587 women in Narmadapuram; 16 lakhs, 59 thousand, and 587 women in Indore; 17 lakhs, 79 thousand, and 820 women in Jabalpur; and 9 lakhs, 472 women from Rewa who have registered in this division.

Moreover, 10 lakhs 95 thousand 571 in Sagar, 3 lakhs 43 thousand 349 in Shahdol, and 12 lakhs 71 thousand 426 in Ujjain division. The E-KYC of each applicant has been made mandatory in the registration process.

Shivraj Singh Chaouhan on the scheme

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is very sensitive and serious about the implementation of the scheme. A series of women’s conferences are being organized by them in the districts. In these conferences, he is giving information about the provisions of the scheme face-to-face with the sisters, as well as registering their applications.
CM Chouhan has instructed all district collectors to open bank accounts for all eligible sisters and get them registered for e-KYC free of charge. Free arrangements have been made for this by the state government. The applications received under the scheme will be examined in the month of May. From June 10, one thousand rupees will start coming into the accounts of the eligible beneficiary sisters.
