The post-mortem report of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari confirmed that he died of cardiac arrest. As per reports, the autopsy was conducted by a panel of five doctors.
Umar Ansari, the younger son of Mukhtar Ansari, was present when the post-mortem was conducted at Rani Durgavati Medical College.
Meanwhile, Mukhtar Ansari’s brother Afzal Ansari said, “Mukhtar Ansari has been killed and removed out of the way. When the time comes, we will give strong proof that he was killed with poison.”
To save some criminals, the whole government and its machinery have done a huge conspiracy. They have no shame. On 26 March, Mukhtar Ansari was sent to the Medical College from the Banda jail,” he added.
He further said, “We received a message at 3 am that Mukhtar Ansari’s condition is serious. When we reached the hospital, we were allowed to meet with difficulty, only for 5 minutes. During the 5-minute meeting, Mukhtar Ansari said that he had been poisoned and because of that he had fainted. He said that he was in extreme pain.”
Umar Ansari earlier claimed that his father was subjected to slow poisoning in prison. He demanded that his post-mortem should be conducted by AIIMS doctors in Delhi.
Umar Ansari also addressed a letter to the Banda District Magistrate. He said that his family has no faith left in the Banda administration and the local medical system.
According to his brother Afzal Ansari, the last rites of Mukhtar Ansari were concluded peacefully.
Ansari was laid to rest at Mohammadabad, in the Ghazipur district, amid tight security.
Meanwhile, a three-member team will conduct a magisterial investigation into the death of Ansari.
Banda Chief Judicial Magistrate issued orders concerning the judicial probe.
