The Muslim Rashtriya Manch proudly presented exquisite Kashmiri Saffron to the VHP Chief during a Tilak ceremony at his New Delhi residence for the upcoming Shri Ram Temple inauguration in Ayodhya. This symbolic gesture reinforces the organization’s commitment to cultural unity and signifies the richness of Kashmiri culture and the shared heritage that binds diverse communities.
During the event, VHP President Alok Kumar expressed a warm welcome to the commendable initiative by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch. Emphasizing an inclusive perspective, Kumar underscored that Lord Ram is not only a revered figure in Hinduism but a shared ancestor for all, urging Muslims to extend their respect to this common heritage.
According to Shahid Sayeed, the National Media Incharge of MRM, this gesture goes beyond symbolism and highlights the unique value attached to any gift originating from Jammu and Kashmir. It emphasizes the special bond that transcends religious boundaries and showcases a commitment to fostering mutual understanding.
The collaboration with Positive Kashmir, led by Bharat Rawat and Shalini Ali, is a proactive effort to bridge cultural divides. The initiative aims to promote Hindu-Muslim unity and showcases broad representation from individuals like Shalini Ali, head of the Women’s Wing, Bharat Rawat, head of Positive Kashmir, Bilal ur Rehman, head of MRM’s intellectual cell Hindustan First Hindustani Best, Shakir Raza, and Nida Zahoor, highlighting the inclusive nature of the endeavour.
Shalini Ali emphasized the ancestral connection, stating that seeking blessings from forefathers reflects the rich culture and civilization of the country. Muslims in Kashmir believe that saffron, chosen for its color and fragrance, is the most fitting gift for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram, symbolizing unity and peace.
As the Pran Pratishtha ceremony and the inauguration of the Sri Ram Temple approach, this act stands as a beacon of unity, showcasing that diversity can be a formidable source of strength. It underscores the dedication of Positive Kashmir and the Muslim Rashtriya Manch not just to patriotism but to actively contributing to a more harmonious and cooperative society.
Expressing gratitude to all contributors, Positive Kashmir and the Muslim Rashtriya Manch hope that this collaborative effort sparks a ripple effect, inspiring similar initiatives that build bridges and foster understanding across communities. This united front serves as a shining example of the transformative power that can be harnessed when diverse groups come together for a shared cause.
