On Earth Day, PM Narendra Modi on Monday reiterated India’s steadfast dedication to nurturing nature for the betterment of planet’s future.
Taking to X, Prime Minister posted, “On Earth Day, we reaffirm our commitment to nurture nature so that our planet can have a better future.”
PM Modi additionally shared a clip underscoring our cultural ethos. He emphasized that our traditions instill in us the imperative to reciprocate to nature for all that it provides us, likening the Earth to our mother.
The Prime Minister expressed that our culture teaches us to strive to give back to nature as much as we have received from it.
PM Modi highlighted India’s pioneering role in showcasing a novel approach to environmental stewardship, epitomized by the Mission LiFE, which stands for Lifestyle for the Environment. He further emphasized that this mission sets a precedent for individuals committed to the planet’s well-being, offering a blueprint for fostering a pro-planet lifestyle that can significantly contribute to environmental preservation.
Every 22 April marks Earth Day, a global commemoration aimed at raising awareness about the critical imperative to safeguard our planet against pollution.
Through engagement in initiatives such as litter clean-ups and tree planting, individuals actively contribute to this cause, fostering a collective effort towards environmental preservation.
