This is the scheduled CBI -Interpol program in the Indian capital. The prime minister is going to address the 90th INTERPOL General Assembly meet on the 18th of October 2022.
The Interpol General Assembly on 18th October in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan is going to go till 21st October. The three day meet will witness the attendance of 195 INTERPOL member countries’ delegations which is going to be comprised of Ministers, Police Chiefs of countries, Heads of National Central Bureaus along with Senior police officers.
Representing the INTERPOL’s supreme governing body, the General Assembly meets every year for making prime decisions related to its next course of functioning.
After a gap of about 25 years in India, the INTERPOL General Assembly meeting was last held in the year 1997. More significantly it was the General Assembly members who with overwhelming majority accepted India’s proposal to host the INTERPOL General Assembly in 2022 at New Delhi which would be coinciding with celebrations for 75th year of Indian independence.
During the event India is going to welcome the opportunity to showcase best practices in Indian law and order system before the world.
Among the prestigious dignitaries present on the occasion are Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, INTERPOL President Ahmed Naser Al Raisi and Secretary General Mr Jurgen Stock, CBI Director among many other significant names.
