Modi And Biden To Meet Over Dinner Ahead Of G20; What Would They Discuss?

Prime Minister Of India, Narendra Modi will be the host for the night for US President, Joe Biden. He will be organizing a private dinner on Friday night in Delhi. This Modi Biden meet is to take place a day prior to the mega event of the G20 summit, Joe Biden is on his way to India as he boarded the flight earlier this morning. According to the sources, he will be driven straight ot the residence of PM Modi. Since the two prominent leaders of the world will be having dinner together, there surely has to be something important to discuss.

As per international sources, the two leaders are expected to discuss on the GE jet engine deal and civil nuclear technology during their bilateral talks. This information has come up as National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has expressed the anticipation. India is to get the technology of GE as the nation aims to manufacture jet engines on its own.

According to US officials, the two presidents will also likely discuss their continuous cooperation in the fields of clean energy, trade, high technology, defense, and how their respective nations might help address some of the most important global issues.

US President said this before Modi Biden meet

Before flying to India, Biden posted on his social media account X, “I’m headed to the G20 – the premier forum for international economic cooperation – focused on making progress on Americans’ priorities, delivering for developing nations, and showing our commitment to the G20 as a forum that can deliver.”

G20 Will have a lot happening

Over three days, through Sunday, PM Modi will attend more than 15 bilateral engagements, according to sources. He will also have meetings with the presidents of Mauritius and Bangladesh this evening at his Lok Kalyan Marg residence.

Aside from the G20 sessions, PM Modi will meet with the UK, Japan, Germany, and Italy in private tomorrow. The Prime Minister and French President Emmanuel Macron will have a working lunch together on the summit’s last day. According to sources, he will hold bilateral meetings with Comoros, Turkiye, the UAE, South Korea, the EU/EC, Brazil, and Nigeria in addition to a pull-aside meeting with Canada.
