West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has announced the opening of a mobile control room at Raj Bhavan amid RG Kar Tragedy. This initiative allows people to communicate their concerns and views regarding the ongoing agitation over the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital.
The Governor’s office issued a statement saying, “Governor of West Bengal, Dr CV Ananda Bose, has established a Mobile Control Room with the contact numbers: 03322001641 and 92890 10682. This is in response to the agitation related to the alleged rape and murder of a second-year PGT female resident doctor from RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.”

Additionally, according to the statement, Governor Bose made the first call from the mobile control room to the father of the deceased doctor. He assured the bereaved family of his support and offered them condolences.
Furthermore, Governor Bose is likely to submit a report on the tragedy to Union Home Minister Amit Shah later today. This follows a previous meeting where Bose assured protesting medical students and doctors of justice. During that meeting, he had strongly criticized the state administration and police for their handling of the case.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress leaders have suggested that the Governor is under pressure from the Union government. They claim that the report is being prepared to create difficulties for the democratically elected West Bengal government.
The establishment of the mobile control room aims to address public concerns and ensure communication between the Governor’s office and the affected community. The situation remains tense as the investigation into the tragic incident continues.
