Nuh's Nalhar Mahadev Mandir
Haryana Violence: At Nuh’s Nalhar Mahadev Mandir, the scenes this morning depict what the crowd of 2,500 suffered yesterday afternoon. Loads of stones were pelted on the crowd, vehicles were burnt in the horrific clash the previous afternoon. The temple is situated at a distance of about 7 Kms from Nuh town. It is all surrounded by the scenic beauty of Aravali.
The people inside the temple hid in nooks, hoping to survive those hours of misery, as rioters packed on these hillocks fired guns and hurled stones.
The large procession that passed through Nuh yesterday was headed towards this sacred site. The Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra, which was organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, set off a racial conflict that has resulted in four fatalities and at least 30 injuries. Two members of the security team, two civilians, and a priest from a mosque are among the deceased.

A mob targeted the temple from a distance of almost 50 miles. Local cops quickly discovered they were greatly outnumbered as the incident got under way. Later in the evening, paramilitary forces were summoned to rescue those who were still inside the shrine.
Paramilitary personnel have emptied the temple, and they are keeping a tight eye on everything. The burned-out cars, whose number is estimated to be approximately 50, have been taken out from the entry.
