Three people in an e-rickshaw were killed on Friday after a speeding Scorpio slammed the divider. The Scorpio collided with an e-rickshaw. The deadly accident occurred on the Lucknow-Varanasi National Highway. A middle-aged man in the e-rickshaw died on the spot. Two people, including the e-rickshaw driver, were seriously injured.
The injured were sent to the Lambhua Community Health Centre. They were eventually referred to the Government Medical College, where they died while undergoing the treatment.
The police have sent the remains for post-mortem examination and initiated legal proceedings into the matter. The event occurred at 9:30 a.m. on the Dakahi bypass in the Lambhua Kotwali section of the district.
According to Lambhua CO Abdus Salam, the middle-aged male passenger who died on the scene has been identified as Gurudin Nishad, 55, a resident of Vajupur Pakhrauli in the Kotwali Dehat police station area.
Lambhua SHO Akhanddev Mishra escorted the two injured to the Community Health Centre, where physicians referred them to the Government Medical College taking the serious condition into the consideration. Rajesh (40), an e-rickshaw driver from Vanshi Dhakapur Kotwali Chanda, and a 62-year-old unnamed individual died while receiving treatment.
