Massive Explosives Seized In Bahraich; MLA Demands Action

In a startling discovery, authorities recovered more than 500 kilograms of explosives in the Hardi area of Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh.

The explosives were found buried underground in Sikandarpur village, raising serious concerns over local security and law enforcement vigilance.

Following the discovery, MLA Sureshwar Singh contacted senior administrative officials to report the grave security threat and demanded immediate action.

However, despite multiple calls, no high-ranking officers arrived at the scene promptly.

The MLA publicly criticised the police for their alleged delay and insufficient response to the situation.

Allegations against police

The legislator accused the Hardi police of serious lapses, stating that criminals had laid the explosives over time to evade detection.

His comments have intensified scrutiny of law enforcement practices in the region, with calls for a thorough investigation into the matter.

Police have taken more than 50 individuals into custody for interrogation.

Reportedly from West Bengal, the detainees have links to the village where authorities found the explosives.

The investigation is ongoing, with officials attempting to uncover the source and intended use of the explosives.

The incident has raised alarm among residents of Bahraich and neighbouring areas.

Authorities have heightened security measures, with increased patrolling and surveillance to prevent any further threats.

The local administration has assured the public that comprehensive steps will be taken to maintain peace and safety.

Administrative response pending

While the MLA’s calls to senior officials remain unanswered so far, the matter has attracted attention at higher levels of government.

It is expected that rapid action will follow to address both the security breach and the police department’s alleged inaction.

This explosive seizure has highlighted vulnerabilities in local security arrangements.

The incident underscores the urgent need for robust policing, effective intelligence gathering, and coordinated administrative oversight to prevent similar threats in the future.

MLA Sureshwar Singh has vowed to continue pressing for accountability and swift resolution to ensure that Bahraich remains safe for its residents.
