Manohar Lal Khattar Confident In BJP’s Prospects Ahead Of Haryana Assembly Elections

Former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) chances of victory in the upcoming Assembly elections. He highlighted significant voter turnout as a crucial indicator of public support for the party.

Speaking to reporters in Panipat, Khattar pointed out the bustling activity at polling booths, particularly in the Karnal and Panipat districts, as evidence of robust backing for the BJP. “The long queues and the enthusiasm of voters clearly show that the BJP is receiving the majority of votes,” he stated, adding that this trend positions the party to secure a third consecutive term in government.

Khattar emphasized the importance of high voter turnout for achieving a decisive win, remarking, “The better the voting, the stronger the victory for democracy.” He cast his own vote early in the morning in Karnal and encouraged all voters to exercise their right. He also called on BJP workers to mobilize and assist voters in reaching polling stations.

Addressing speculation surrounding the opposition parties, Khattar dismissed Congress leader Kumari Selja’s claim of becoming Chief Minister if Congress wins, questioning the party’s internal unity and ability to agree on a leader.

Moreover, Khattar clarified that if the BJP emerges victorious, Nayab Singh Saini, the party’s current candidate from the Ladwa constituency, would assume the role of Chief Minister.

Khattar further reiterated his faith in the electorate, urging the public to trust the democratic process. “Don’t believe what the Opposition says, or even what I say. Trust the people and the outcome of their votes. If voting goes well, it’s not just a BJP victory, it’s a victory for democracy itself,” he concluded.
