Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi Praises Youth Participation In Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised young people for their participation in the Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan and urged citizens to support those trying to overcome drug addiction.

Addressing the 138th episode of his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Sunday, PM Modi called for greater public participation in the campaign against substance abuse.

PM Modi said young people have pledged to stay away from intoxicants and are taking responsibility for spreading awareness about drug abuse.

The 100-week campaign has attracted My Bharat volunteers, National Service Scheme members, schools, colleges, universities and several social and spiritual organisations.

The Prime Minister said people have held pledge ceremonies and awareness drives across the country. He further praised young people for using creative ways to spread the anti-drug message.

Thousands have joined competitions on the My Bharat app and shared content using #NASHAMUKTYUVA.

PM Modi said the youth are driving the campaign and added that health check-ups and medicine camps will follow.

The Prime Minister urged citizens to stay alert during the festive season and support those vulnerable to substance abuse. He further encouraged people to speak to youngsters who may be moving towards addiction and support those willing to quit drugs.

PM Modi called for collective efforts to advance the Nasha Mukt Yuva campaign and strengthen the broader resolve of building a Viksit Bharat.
