In a horrifying incident that took place in Gurugram’s Haryana, a native of Uttar Pradesh stabbed his live-in partner with a screwdriver. The heinous act was incited consequent to the victim’s refusal over having a physical relationship. Reportedly, Shivam Kumar and the victim were in an illicit relationship.
The 28-year-old complainant hailed from UP. She informed the officials that Shivam compelled her into having a physical relationship with him on Thursday. He struck her on the neck with a screwdriver when she denied participating in the non-consensual encounter.
The complainant mentioned that she resided apart from her spouse in a rented room in Gurgaon where she got acquainted with Shivam Kumar, a resident of Kannauj in UP. She stated, “Soon after we began our live-in relationship, Shivam had physical relations with me on the pretext of marriage. Recently, I came to know that Shivam is married.”

The police lodged an FIR after the complaint was made and a team led by sub-inspector Sandeep Kumar, in charge of Naharpur police Chowki, apprehended the accused.
The officials got a hold of the accused in Rajiv Chowk on Friday and he is currently being probed. Varun Dahiya, ACP (crime) said that Shivam will be presented before the court on Saturday.
