In Karnataka’s Mangaluru, a tragic incident occurred where a man lost his life due to a heart attack triggered by a collapsing compound wall.
The victim, Mohammed Hanif (51), was overseeing the progress of a drain construction adjacent to the compound wall when, unexpectedly, the wall crumbled onto him. Another individual, Mani, was also ensnared beneath the debris of the wall, enduring a significant leg injury that necessitated medical treatment.
CCTV footage from the vicinity captured both men positioned near the wall, which abruptly gave way and descended upon them. Nearby bystanders rushed to extricate the trapped individuals.
Hanif had assumed responsibility for overseeing the construction of the wall after taking over the contract from KM Shariff.
Unfortunately, Hanif suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical professionals are presently determining whether the heart attack was prompted by the shock of the wall’s collapse or other pre-existing health conditions. The local police have initiated a case and an investigation is currently in progress.
