Patna, Aug 29: Bihar Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Minister Neeraj Kumar Bablu sharply criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday for her recent comments. Banerjee had warned that if Bengal burns, other states including Assam, Northeast, Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha would also burn.
Minister Neeraj Kumar Bablu claimed that Mamata Banerjee has “lost her mental balance” and suggested she needs immediate treatment. He condemned her statement as “unbecoming of someone holding a constitutional position.” Bablu accused Banerjee of allegedly instigating riots in West Bengal and targeting the Hindu community under her rule. He warned, “We will burn those who even think of such actions.”
The Bihar minister also commented on the situation involving former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who is reportedly considering joining the BJP. Bablu criticized JMM leader Hemant Soren for removing Champai Soren from his post and accused him of spying on senior leaders. Bablu welcomed Champai Soren to the BJP, calling him a “good and veteran leader.”
Earlier in the day, Mamata Banerjee had clarified that her “hiss” remark was aimed at countering the “negative politics” of the BJP, not at silencing protests by medical professionals or students.
