At least 4 people were killed, and several injured after a tractor trolley parked on the side of the road was hit by a truck from behind in Mainpuri.
The incident happened at around 4:30 am in the Bhogaon police station area NH34, near Dwarkapuri cut.
Vinod Kumar, Mainpuri SP said, “Virendra Singh, a resident of Kunwarpur, was returning from Bichua district, Mainpuri at 4:30 am. Their trolley was parked on the roadside as they were trying to fix it, it was hit by a truck from behind.”
“A total of 23 people were injured and 4 casualties have been reported. The truck driver has absconded from the spot. The investigation is underway,” SP added.

As per reports, the truck was seized from the spot. All the injured people were sent to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityantah took cognisance of the accident. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.
UP CM directed the district administration officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
