The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has drawn millions of devotees, who come to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. According to the Uttar Pradesh Information Department, over 4.55 million people, including 1 million Kalpawasis, had taken a holy dip by 8 AM on Tuesday.
Since the event began on January 13, more than 147.6 million pilgrims have bathed at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, marking a record turnout at this spiritual gathering.
Anant Shri Vibhushit Mahant Peer Sher Nath Ji Maharaj of Gujarat’s Nath sect offered prayers for public welfare during his visit.
