Mahakumbh 2025: Yogi Government To Deploy Thousands of ‘Kumbh Mela Mitras’ For Pilgrims

In a move aimed at enriching the experience of devotees and tourists during the Mahakumbh 2025, the Yogi government has decided to appoint over a thousand ‘Kumbh Mela Mitras’ and volunteers.

This decision comes as part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s efforts to ensure a smooth and memorable pilgrimage for the large influx of visitors expected at the event.

Officials To Deploy Over 1,000 ‘Kumbh Mela Mitras’ & Volunteers

The process for selecting these Kumbh Mela Mitras and volunteers has commenced, intending to enhance the overall experience for pilgrims.

Officials will station these individuals both inside and outside the Kumbh Mela area.

The initiative includes the provision of skill training to these volunteers, enabling them to offer efficient assistance and help in promoting a positive image of Uttar Pradesh among visitors.

Skill Training For Over 6,000 Police Personnel

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, efforts are underway to organize the Mahakumbh on a grand and divine scale.

Officials are making special arrangements to accommodate the anticipated 41 crore pilgrims and tourists from across the country and abroad.

As part of this initiative, the Kumbh Mela administration is also set to train over 6,000 police personnel in various skills to ensure high standards of service and security.

Roles & Responsibilities Of Kumbh Mela Mitras & Volunteers

The appointed Kumbh Mela Mitras and volunteers will play crucial roles both within and outside the Kumbh Mela area.

Their duties will include guiding pilgrims, assisting elderly visitors with heavy bags, reuniting lost pilgrims, aiding in cleanliness efforts, providing medical assistance, coordinating with police during emergencies, managing traffic, and supporting crowd control measures.

This comprehensive support system is likely to enhance the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Ongoing Preparations For A Grand Event

The Kumbh Mela authorities are actively preparing to implement these plans, with the issuance of Requests for Proposals (RFP) for skill training programs.

This training will equip both the volunteers and police personnel with the necessary skills to handle various scenarios effectively and ensure a positive experience for every pilgrim and tourist visiting the Mahakumbh.

The Yogi government’s meticulous planning reflects its commitment to making the Mahakumbh 2025 a grand and spiritually enriching experience for all participants.
