Prayagraj prepares for Maha Kumbh 2025, expecting 400-450 million devotees. To simplify navigation, the Mela Authority has launched the ‘Mahakumbh Mela 2025’ app. This app guides devotees to ghats, temples, and key religious sites across Prayagraj.
Through the app’s ‘Plan Your Pilgrimage’ feature, users can choose ‘Get Direction to Ghat’ for routes to major ghats, including Dashashwamedh, Kila, Rasulabad, Naukaha, Maheva, Saraswati, and Gyan Ganga. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently inaugurated the app and official website, installing digital signboards for seamless navigation.
The Yogi government is upgrading Prayagraj’s ghats, including Dashashwamedh and Kila. These improvements highlight religious traditions while enhancing visitor experiences. Recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage, the Maha Kumbh Mela celebrates India’s rich culture.
Institutions like IIM have researched crowd management. Based on these studies, the Mela Authority has developed plans to manage large crowds and enhance facilities across the Mela grounds.
The Mela Authority advises devotees to avoid overcrowding at Sangam and use other ghats for bathing. The ‘Mahakumbh Mela 2025’ app, designed with Prayagraj’s spiritual heritage in mind, helps pilgrims access ghats, temples, and key sites. This app aims to enrich and simplify the pilgrimage experience for all devotees.
