To accommodate the millions of devotees expected at the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) is creating a luxury tent city in Sector 20 (Arail).
Over 2,000 Swiss cottage-style tents will provide world-class accommodation, catering to the spiritual and comfort needs of pilgrims.
The initiative, developed in collaboration with six partners—Aagaman, Kumbh Camp India, Rishikul Kumbh Cottage, Kumbh Village, Kumbh Canvas, and Era—will offer four types of accommodations:
Prices range from Rs 1,500 to Rs 35,000 per day, with additional charges for extra guests.
The tents will however feature modern amenities, including air conditioning, double beds, WiFi, electric geysers, and customized interiors.
Villa Tents will span 900 square feet, while Super Deluxe and Deluxe Tents will range from 250 to 580 square feet.
The tent city will also provide dining areas, scenic riverbank views, and cultural insights into yoga, religious events, and Prayagraj’s historical landmarks.
The tent city, operational from 1 January to 5 March, is part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to make the Maha Kumbh a global spiritual and cultural experience.
Visitors can book accommodations via the UPSTDC website or the Maha Kumbh app.
This ambitious project however aims to enhance the pilgrimage experience for the estimated 45 crore visitors from 75 countries expected to attend the Maha Kumbh.
