Union Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Prayagraj to participate in the ongoing Maha Kumbh celebrations. UP CM Yogi Adityanath welcomed Shah and his cabinet members welcomed Shah to the Prayagraj airport.
In his one-day visit to Prayagraj, the Union Home Minister will take a holy bath at the Triveni Sangam and then visit the Bade Hanuman Ji Temple and Abhayvat.
Home Minister Amit Shah took a holy dip at the Sangam Ghat and sought blessings from the saints at the Maha Kumbh Mela. Earlier today, Amit Shah also shared a post on social media, where he wrote that he was ‘eager to seek blessings’.
“‘Mahakumbh’ is a unique symbol of the uninterrupted flow of Sanatan culture. Kumbh reflects our eternal philosophy of life-based on harmony. Today, I am eager to take a dip in the confluence and seek the blessings of the saints in this great festival of unity and integrity in the holy city of Prayagraj,” Shah said in the post on X.
Later, the Home Minister will visit Juna Akhara, where he will meet the Maharaj and other saints and have lunch with them. His schedule also includes visits to Guru Sharananand Ji’s Ashram, where he will meet Guru Sharananand Ji and Govind Giri Ji Maharaj.
He will conclude his visit with a meeting with the Shankaracharyas of Sringeri, Puri, and Dwaraka.
The Home Minister is scheduled to depart Prayagraj for Delhi in the evening. Various Union Ministers, including Rajnath Singh and other prominent leaders, have visited the Maha Kumbh and taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet also held a meeting in Prayagraj, followed by a visit to the Sangam for a holy dip. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav visited Prayagraj and took part in the Maha Kumbh by performing 11 holy dips at the Triveni Sangam.
Spiritual leader and Bhagwat Katha orator Devkinandan Thakurji Maharaj will organize a Dharma Sansad on Monday at the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The primary objective of the Sansad is to push for the establishment of a Sanatana Board.
“We all want that Sanatana Board be constituted. We are placing a proposal before the Government. All Dharmacharyas want the welfare of Sanatana and temples to remain secure. This Dharma Sansad is about to begin, and I am going to see the preparations. People are arriving in large numbers,” Devkinandan Thakurji Maharaj told ANI.
Numerous saints, Gurus, and Sanatan leaders will attend the event.
