Maha Kumbh 2025 To Feature Expansive Grounds & Enhanced Digital Services

Preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 are underway, with plans to establish a vast Kumbh Nagar spanning 6,000 hectares. The fairgrounds will cover 4,000 hectares, with an additional 1,900 hectares designated for parking.

A committee will likely form to draft the proposal for creating a new Kumbh district between Phaphamau and Arail.

This district will serve as the central hub for the event.

For the first time, organizers will manage all land allotments and fair-related facilities online to enhance convenience for devotees.

The organizing bodies will utilize advanced software to streamline the process, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

This system will also facilitate quick action against contractors who fail to deliver services on time.

As part of the beautification efforts, the installation of murals depicting Kumbh culture will adorn five key routes leading to the Sangam.

High-speed internet will be available throughout the fairgrounds, providing visitors with reliable connectivity.

These proposals were approved during a recent meeting of the Fair Authority Board, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant.

The meeting also endorsed the construction of an underpass near the new railway line at Mori Gate Pumping Station on Triveni Dam Road.

In addition to the infrastructural improvements, around 10,000 workers, including tour guides, sailors, volunteers, Kumbh Sevamitra, vendors, police officers, and other personnel, will undergo training to ensure that the fair operates efficiently.

The software system introduced for Maha Kumbh 2025 will also archive information from previous events in 2013 and 2019, providing detailed records of allocations and services.

Photographic evidence and verification details will be available for registration and the application of new institutions, adding a layer of transparency and accountability.
