Maha Kumbh 2025: Free RO Water Available Through Water ATMs

The Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban) has installed 200 water ATMs at the Mahakumbh Mela to provide pure drinking water to millions of devotees and tourists.

The water ATMs are dispensing free, purified RO drinking water to all visitors, ensuring easy access to clean hydration during the ongoing festival.

Strategically placed near various sectors and temples, these water ATMs offer devotees a convenient way to refill their bottles or utensils at the press of a button. The initiative aims to meet the water needs of the lakhs of people visiting the Mahakumbh daily.

Maha Kumbh Technical Issues Resolved

As the event progresses and the demand for water grows, the ATMs ensure that they provide clean drinking water to every devotee. He confirmed that all 200 machines are now fully operational, providing water without any disruptions. Furthermore, authorities have waived the previous fee of Re 1 for using the water ATMs.

Maha Kumbh Efficient Monitoring & Support

Sensor-based systems monitor the functionality of each water ATM in real-time. This system ensures the continuous availability of water and allows for prompt action in case of any technical issues. Operators are stationed at each ATM to assist devotees and technicians from the water corporation.

The water ATMs dispense an impressive 12,000 to 15,000 liters of water every day. As the event progresses and the water demand grows, the ATMs ensure that no devotee is left without clean drinking water.

For instance, on Makar Sankranti, January 14, the ATMs dispensed 46,000 liters to meet the needs of the crowd.

With Mauni Amavasya, a day expected to see a massive influx of 10 crore devotees, the authorities are taking extra precautions to ensure that the water supply remains uninterrupted. All necessary arrangements have been made to provide ample water to the large crowd expected on the auspicious day.

Maha Kumbh Mela Ongoing Efforts To Enhance Facilities

The Maha Kumbh Mela attracts millions, with over 10 crore devotees already visiting the sacred Sangam. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, departments are ensuring smooth facilities for all attendees.
