In a significant show of faith, Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, and Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, along with a 166-member delegation, took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on Thursday.
The delegation, including several opposition MLAs from Chhattisgarh, participated in this sacred ritual as part of the Mahakumbh 2025 celebrations, which have drawn millions of devotees from across the country.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by his wife Kaushalya Sai, shared his heartfelt gratitude to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath for the successful organization of the Mahakumbh. After the sacred dip, CM Sai prayed for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh.
During the visit, CM Sai also went to the Chhattisgarh Mandap in Sector 7, where he checked on the well-being of devotees from his state and reviewed the arrangements made for their convenience.
Accompanied by the Governor, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, MPs, and MLAs, CM Vishnu Deo Sai reached Arail Ghat for the holy dip. The entire delegation participated in the ritual together, seeking blessings for the state’s well-being. CM Sai expressed his gratitude to CM Yogi Adityanath, thanking him for inviting them to this divine event.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai shared his experience on social media, saying, “Today, I took a dip in the Triveni Sangam at Tirthraj Prayag, seeking the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of three crore people of Chhattisgarh. Maha Kumbh is a grand festival of divinity and spiritual energy in Sanatan Dharma, where faith transforms into nectar and unites the soul with the divine.”
CM Sai later posted about the deeper significance of the Kumbh, describing it as “a source of energy, a flow of humanity, a beacon of spiritual consciousness, and a path to self-illumination.” He further noted that Maha Kumbh is a confluence of rivers, forests, and the wisdom of ancient sages, harmonizing nature and human life.
Kaushalya Sai, the Chief Minister’s wife, also shared her spiritual experience. She said, “We sought the blessings of Maa Ganga and prayed to the divine rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati for the happiness and prosperity of Chhattisgarh.”
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh expressed the privilege of participating in the Maha Kumbh, calling it “a matter of great fortune” for the state.
He highlighted that under the leadership of CM Vishnu Deo Sai, the delegation, including both the ruling party and opposition MLAs, came together to take part in this sacred event, which occurs only once every 144 years.
He also emphasized that Maha Kumbh is a blessing for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of Chhattisgarh.
Maha Kumbh 2025 continues to be one of the world’s largest and most significant religious gatherings. The Uttar Pradesh government, under CM Yogi Adityanath, has ensured extensive arrangements to facilitate a smooth pilgrimage for the millions of devotees.
The event has been marked by impeccable security, cleanliness, and efficient management, making it a memorable occasion.
